Vita
In my early years at university, my passion for math, coding, and problem-solving made me join competitive programming. I competed throughout my undergraduate studies and was given opportunities to represent my university on the international stage at the ACM ICPC regional (in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Russia) and world-final (Japan) contests. Then, I got into a Physics graduate program in Texas and contributed to an experiment that produced significant scientific discoveries. These discoveries led to multiple academic and engineering awards to its members (e.g., from IEEE and the Breakthrough Foundation), including the Nobel Prize in Physics, awarded to the project’s founders. I believe I was very fortunate to be part of this international team of researchers and engineers and to have had an opportunity to learn from my peers and work as a team toward our common goal. The procedures and tools I helped to develop during my Ph.D. program and afterward (as a postdoc) are currently being utilized by national labs in the USA (LIGO, operated jointly by Caltech and MIT) and Japan (KAGRA Observatory - The University of Tokyo). I plan to continue expanding my knowledge and skills and using my experience to solve interesting problems and bring more value to my teams.
